Following decades of quiet obscurity, this 'ukulele and jazz pioneer is enjoying his highest profile ever. Including three dates in Northern California, his home for many years. After a big 97th birthday party on New Years Day, he's hitting the road in support of his new CD "Duke of Uke", 'Ukulele legend Bill Tapia is unstoppable. We'll be playing traditional jazz standards and bossa novas in a two guitar format, but i will also be playing some tunes on the uke. Thom Rotella has invited me to join him for the Jazz Brunch.
